Reiki is a Japanese form of energy work that aids in overall whelming of the physical body, the mental state of mind and the soul. Reiki is a “laying of hands” and is based on the idea that “universal life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be and feel alive and well. If one’s “Ki” (meaning life force energy) is of low the feeling manifests as dis”EASE” or stress. On the flip side, if our “Ki” is high, we then vibrate on an energetic frequency that is high creating a feeling of health, wellness, peace, love and inner happiness.
Melissa likes to compare her reiki trainings like the building of a house. In order to have a strong, solid home that will weather all the storms, you need a strong foundation. That is exactly what she provides for you in level one. When teaching, Melissa creates sacred space for the heart to open to receive the healing, knowledge, the attunement and the reiki. This is important in order to have as strong foundation that you will always be able to reconnect with. In this training you will learn about the lineage of Usui Reiki, what reiki is, how it works and the basic hand positions. By creating this foundation first, you will have a deep connection to the knowledge and the energy of reiki which is what you are calling on when you start to practice reiki on yourself.
